How To Make Your Wedding Reception More Fun?
Every couple wants their wedding to be lots of fun, one that all the guests remember fondly for years to come.
This is one way I achieve that with the couples that book my services…
Most DJs are just booked from the reception onwards and so arrive around 6 or 7pm in the evening. However, by being at the wedding from the ceremony/drinks reception I get to build a rapport with many of the guests – from chit chatting with them during the drinks reception, and from them seeing the fun that I inject into the proceedings, such as delivering a Love Story combined with the Grand Entrance of the Bride and Groom into the room for the Wedding Breakfast.
Or when I go to each of the tables at the start of the wedding breakfast, giving your guests the Pearls of Wisdom cards and explaining what they are. Even more so when the best cards are read out just before the speeches to gales of laughter all around the room. Plus this relaxes those who are about to deliver their speeches because of the great atmosphere around the room.
And from getting all the guests involved with The Mr & Mrs game (also known as The Shoe Game), which again never fails to really charge the atmosphere, and is the perfect way to lead into the First Dance.
All of this also helps a lot with the ice breaking between the two families. There are many other ways I help to make weddings a lot of fun for everyone there in a non-cheesy way, ensuring that by building such a rapport with the guests, please being part of the fun everyone’s having, it leads to a fantastic atmosphere by the time of the evening reception, resulting in a far far better experience for everyone at the reception.
